Laroi Concrete Cutting was engaged by SMC Marine as part of critical remediation works at the Apollo Bay Harbour. The project involved the removal and replacement of corroded steel fixings and hardware that supported key pier structures exposed to harsh marine conditions.
Working from a floating pontoon, our team carried out precision horizontal coring over existing corroded fixings to safely extract and prepare the structure for new hardware installation. Despite the challenging tidal environment, the works were completed within the scheduled timeframe. LCC implemented multiple slurry containment methods to ensure all waste was controlled and no contaminants entered the bay, maintaining strict environmental standards.
